Best Betting Sites: the Global Feature-by-Feature Comparison 2026

Six betting sites made our July 2026 comparison, and they split into two camps. Bet365, Betfair and Betway hold licenses from the UK Gambling Commission and other major regulators, and operate in dozens of countries. MyStake, 22Bet and Rabona run on Curaçao licenses — fewer protections, more freedom on crypto, bonuses and limits. Instead of yet another ranked list, we compared them feature by feature: streaming, cash out, exchange betting, crypto support, minimum deposits, payout speed and real reputation data. Every license is stated in every table. Data verified on July 13, 2026. Betting is for adults only (18+ or higher, depending on where you live).

How we compared them

Same checks for all six, run in July 2026: license verified at the issuing regulator; odds level measured by published margin tests; market depth counted per match, not per sport list; payout speed taken from operator terms and independent withdrawal tests; reputation read from review platforms with the review count next to the score — a score without its sample size is noise. Bonuses were judged by their conditions, not their headline numbers.

The reputation reality check

Here is the part most rankings skip. On Trustpilot, the biggest licensed brands score worst: Bet365 sits at 1.3 out of 5 across roughly 7,000 reviews, Betway at 1.3 across roughly 18,000, while Betfair's main page holds 3.3 across about 4,500. MyStake shows 4.1 — from a few dozen reviews.

OperatorTrustpilot scoreReview count
Betfair3.3 / 5≈ 4,500
Bet3651.3 / 5≈ 7,000
Betway1.3 / 5≈ 18,000
MyStake4.1 / 5a few dozen
22Betno reliable sample — check before you deposit
Rabonano reliable sample — check before you deposit

Read those numbers with care. Review platforms punish size: a bookmaker with tens of millions of customers collects complaints at industrial scale, and happy punters rarely write reviews. A 4.1 from thirty reviews is not stronger evidence than a 1.3 from eighteen thousand — it is a smaller sample. The recurring complaint themes matter more than the averages: for the big three it is account restrictions on winning players and slow support; for the Curaçao sites it is document checks before the first payout. Scores dated July 2026.

Which site wins your use case

Exchange betting: Betfair

No contest — it is the only exchange here. You bet against other users at market-driven odds, you can lay outcomes (bet on something NOT happening), and margins on liquid markets beat any fixed-odds book. Betfair takes a commission on net winnings instead. If you trade positions rather than punt, this is the one.

Live betting and streaming: Bet365

The deepest in-play offer of the six plus video streams for thousands of events a year, all inside the app. MyStake is the closest international alternative — no video, but a fast live center with real-time stats across football, tennis, basketball and esports.

Esports: Betway and 22Bet

Betway has built one of the most serious esports books among licensed operators — CS, Dota 2 and League of Legends with proper market depth. 22Bet matches it on volume from the international side, with daily esports coverage next to its 50-sport catalog.

Crypto: 22Bet, then Rabona and MyStake

No licensed operator in this test takes crypto — that is a hard line in regulated markets. 22Bet accepts 39+ coins, Rabona seven (including USDT, USDC and Binance Pay), MyStake four (BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT). Crypto withdrawals are typically each site's fastest channel.

Smallest bankroll: 22Bet

Deposits from $1 and withdrawals from $1.50. That makes a full test run — deposit, bet, withdraw — cost almost nothing, which is exactly how you should try any new betting site.

Fastest payouts: MyStake and 22Bet

22Bet clears e-wallet withdrawals in about 15 minutes (cards can take up to 7 business days). MyStake pays out in 24-48 hours across methods — an independent test this year recorded 6 successful withdrawals out of 6. Expect the first payout anywhere to take longer: identity verification comes first, at all six sites.

Licensing around the world: what your money stands on

PointUKGC / MGA licenseCuraçao license
Oversightstrict regulators with real enforcement and fineslighter-touch regulator in Curaçao
Dispute routeformal complaints, ombudsman services, courtsthe operator's own support, then Curaçao law
Self-exclusionnational schemes (e.g. GamStop covers all UK-licensed sites)per-site tools only — national schemes do not apply
Segregated player fundsrequired in various tiersdepends on the operator
Cryptonot offeredoffered by all three sites tested
Bonusesregulated, typically modestlarger, with conditions that demand a careful read

One thing no comparison can decide for you: whether betting — and betting on a given site — is allowed where you live. Gambling law is national, sometimes regional. Licensed operators simply refuse to serve countries where they hold no permission; Curaçao operators often accept players from markets where local regulators say they should not, and some countries block or fine such sites. Before you deposit anywhere, check your local rules. That responsibility does not transfer to the bookmaker.

The six, in brief

Bet365

The most complete sportsbook of the six: coverage from the Champions League down to leagues almost nobody lists, streaming, an app that sets the industry standard. The flip side shows up in the reviews — winning players report account restrictions, and support quality has not kept pace with its size.

Betfair

Two products in one account: a conventional sportsbook and the exchange that made the brand. The exchange rewards users who understand odds movement; casual punters may find commission math unfamiliar at first. Best Trustpilot score among the licensed trio.

Betway

A clean, fast platform with a standout esports section and wide international presence. Its 1.3 Trustpilot average over 18,000 reviews mirrors the big-operator complaint pattern: withdrawals and account checks are the recurring themes — factor that in and keep stakes sensible.

MyStake

Operated by GTW B.V. under Curaçao license OGL/2024/250/0115, on the market since 2020. Strong live section, four cryptos, payouts inside 48 hours. Weak spots: mandatory KYC before the first withdrawal, and complaints of refused payouts exist alongside the successful tests. Its domains are subject to blocking in countries that enforce against unlicensed operators.

22Bet

Run by TechSolutions (CY) Group Limited under a Curaçao license. The volume king: around 50 sports, 1,000+ football markets daily, deposits from $1, cash out, 24/7 chat. Weak spots: web-app only, no PayPal, a bonus that expires in 7 days, and mixed user reports about account limits — start small and test the payout path.

Rabona

Curaçao-licensed, on the market since 2019, 40+ sports including NBA, NFL and NHL. Its football margin of 5.10% translates to roughly 95% payout — level with regulated books. Weak spots: withdrawal caps of €1,500 per day and €20,000 per month, up to 3 business days per payout, no native app.

How to vet any betting site in five steps

  1. Find the license number and look it up at the regulator. Not on the site's own "about" page — in the issuer's public register. No verifiable number, no deposit.
  2. Read the withdrawal terms before paying in. Minimums, daily caps, document requirements. A €1,500 daily cap matters a lot on the day you win €6,000.
  3. Message support before you register. One specific question in live chat. A useful answer within five minutes tells you more than any review.
  4. Run a full loop with small money. Deposit the minimum, place one bet, withdraw immediately. Scale up only after the money lands.
  5. Check reviews with dates — and sample sizes. Operators change fast, and a dozen glowing reviews mean less than a thousand mixed ones. Nothing from 2023 describes July 2026.

*Availability varies by country at licensed operators — e-wallet and PayPal support depends on the market version of the site. The pattern holds worldwide: PayPal lives on the licensed side, crypto on the international side, and cards work everywhere. As of July 2026.

Responsible gambling — 18+

Betting is entertainment with a built-in cost, not an income source. Decide your deposit and time limits before you open an account — especially at international sites, where no national limit system applies automatically. The minimum age is 18, higher in some jurisdictions, and gambling legality varies by country: know your local rules.

If gambling stops being fun: BeGambleAware and GamCare (0808 8020 133) offer free, confidential help in the UK; in the US, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER; elsewhere, your national gambling support service is the right first step. Note that national self-exclusion schemes such as GamStop only cover licensed operators — they do not block Curaçao sites.

Best betting sites 2026 — FAQ

What is the best betting site in 2026?

For most players, Bet365 — the widest coverage, live streaming and a proven app, with full regulatory protection. Traders should look at Betfair's exchange instead. Among international sites, MyStake led our test on payout speed. There is no single answer, which is why this page compares by feature.

Are offshore betting sites legal?

It depends entirely on your country. Curaçao-licensed sites operate outside national licensing systems; some countries tolerate this, others block the domains or fine the operators. Using them means giving up your local protections — no ombudsman, no national self-exclusion, no guaranteed dispute route. Check your local law before depositing; the risk sits with you.

What is the difference between a bookmaker and a betting exchange?

A bookmaker sets the odds and takes the other side of your bet, pricing in a margin. An exchange (Betfair here) matches you with other users: you can back or lay any outcome at odds the market sets, and pay commission on winnings. Exchanges usually offer better prices on liquid events, but require more understanding.

Can I bet with cryptocurrency?

Not at licensed operators — Bet365, Betfair and Betway take no crypto. All three international sites do: 22Bet with 39+ coins, Rabona with 7, MyStake with 4. Remember that crypto winnings are still taxable income in most countries.

Which site pays out fastest?

22Bet via e-wallet, at around 15 minutes. MyStake pays any method within 24-48 hours. The licensed trio typically takes hours to a few days depending on method and market. Everywhere, the first withdrawal is the slowest because identity checks happen then — do a small test withdrawal early.

Why do big bookmakers have such low Trustpilot scores?

Selection bias, mostly. Millions of customers produce thousands of complaints, and satisfied bettors rarely review anything. That said, the complaint themes are real — account restrictions on winners and slow support are industry-wide issues at scale. Compare review counts, not just averages, and weigh the themes rather than the score.

Does GamStop block offshore betting sites?

No. GamStop and similar national schemes only cover operators licensed in that country. Curaçao sites are not connected to them and offer only their own per-site exclusion tools. If self-exclusion matters to you, stay with licensed operators — that protection is the system working as designed.

How do I check whether a betting site is licensed?

Scroll to the site's footer, find the license number, then look it up in the regulator's public register — the UKGC and MGA both run searchable databases, and Curaçao's CGA publishes license records. If the footer names no license, or the number is not in the register, close the tab.
